I told the guy I like that (20M) that I’m interested (19M) and he said he needs to think about it. Last night we were on the game with our friends (I’m not in a lonnnng friendship with a bunch of history with him) And they were talking about relationship stuff. He said he was talking to this one girl but is still open because he doesn’t know where things are with her. But when he was saying that, all I could think about is what a missed opportunity that would be for me if it did work out for them and I never said anything.
Speaking from experience, there have been people who I was interested in who didn’t try to talk to me until after they got over it. It’s like “why are you telling me this now?”
So that’s exactly what I avoided to happen. I texted him after we got off the game and told him I was interested in him. I don’t want this to be a “I should’ve done that” kind of thing. I was ready for any outcome. At the end of the day, what’s the worst he can say? No?
For some reason I can’t upload pictures so here’s what he said:
“Ahhh, thanks for letting me know I wouldnt mind but I was trying to see things between me and this other girl and i dont want to make anyone feel like an option yk. I also dont mind talking more and whatnot”
Then we talked a little more and he said he didn’t want to “knock it completely but also didn’t want to leave any hopes up”
Then after a little more he said he needs to sleep on it and process his emotions. Whatever his choice is, I’ll be fine with it but as of right now I’m pretty confident in myself. I spend more time with him, we don’t talk much but he’s willing to now that he knows, and we have the same friends who root for me.
