My dad and I both frequent a bar where we've made some decent buddies. They tend to like to cook and invite us over for things like holidays, playoff games, or even just a random cookout. They fall in between my age and my dad's age.
I don't really cook and my house isn't the best for hosting large gatherings. It's smaller, and I don't even have a dinner table. My dad's house is more than capable of accommodating people, but my mom doesn't like guests, prefers a clean home, and doesn't know any of them or their families.
So, we never really give back, besides bringing alcohol or something. I feel a bit bad about it, like we just take, take take. Anything else we can do?
