I’ve been on reddit a lot this christmas break (don’t worry, I’m getting out and touching grass in between) and I’ve noticed an increasing issue with reading comprehension. I know it’s hard to get nuance or complexity online sometimes, but even when something is simple and clear, some people will wildly misunderstand it. and I mean in general, not as in responses to me. I know a lot of the reddit audience is American, but this is also happening on UK subs too. I always thought comprehension in this country was pretty good but does anyone else notice this as well?
