I (18M) met this girl (18F) on Instagram when we were both 15. We really hit it off, started liking each other, but she lives about 300 km away in the north of my country. After a while we stopped talking (I think I probably messed up somehow, I’m not sure).
About 10-12 months later we started talking again, this time just as friends. At that point both of us were in relationships with other people, so we kept it like platonic. We stayed “just friends” for a long time.
A few days ago I was high and jokingly (but kind of seriously) asked her: “If we’re both single at 30, would you marry me?” To my surprise, she said yes and even pinned the voice message where I said it.
The next day, even more high I told her I actually really like her and have feelings for her. She said she didn’t expect that at all. I told her I’d be willing to travel to her city so we could go out on a proper date.
She never gives direct yes/no answers. She’s hard to read sometimes, but she definitely flirts with me, teases me, and I flirt back. We used to call a lot (and when we do, she laughs a ton and the vibe is amazing), but I haven’t called in a while. I know her really well and she knows me too we shared allot about ourselves and helped and help each other allot with everything rly.
I’m just really confused: does she actually like me romantically, or does she just enjoy the attention and flirting without wanting more? I really like this girl and don’t want to misread the situation.
Any advice on how to figure out how she feels or what I should do next? Should I just straight-up ask her, or keep going and plan the trip anyway? Help.
Tl;DR I (18M) confessed to a girl (18F) I’ve known for years (long-distance, 300km apart) and I’m confused if she likes me back or just enjoys the attention
