I (33F) have been dating my boyfriend (33M) for a little under a year. He lives in San Diego and I live in LA, and I’ve done most of the driving because he’s uncomfortable at my place. I didn’t mind at first, but it’s started to feel unbalanced—especially since he’ll make the drive for friends and events.

His lease is now ending and I assumed we’d discuss living together. Instead, he decided to move to Orange County to live near friends, which I found out through one of his friends, not him. While it’s technically closer, we’ll still be about 50 miles apart, and he suggested I move closer to him instead. I’m refusing to do so bc he won’t do the same for me.

I love him and don’t think he’s cheating, but I’m struggling with the idea of another year of distance and feeling like I’m not being prioritized. Am I asking too much, or is he not considering me in his future plans? I’m doubting if I should continue the relationship tbh.

TL;DR: Boyfriend chose to move near friends instead of closer to me, and I’m questioning whether I’m being unreasonable or not being considered.
