Hello, we have our washing machine and heat pump tumble dryer in an attached unheated and uninsulated garage. This is their first time to be in winter conditions.
There is inlet water pipe which is covered in pipe foam insulation and drain pipes in the garage.
Now with the negative degree weather, i am anxious the machines might be destroyed. Currently my thermometer reads 2c in there. But i havent used the machines and i have drained all excess water from the washing machine. I have covered them as well with cardboard boxes and place cardboard boxes underneath them. I plan not to use them not until the temperatures go above 0.
Will this be ok? How else can i protect them?
Anyone here who has had their machines in a similar situation? How did they fare in winter in the garage?
