I'm 42 and honestly struggling a bit. My length is under 4in and my erections don't last nearly as long as they used to. Being overweight definitely doesn't help.

Here is what I'm trying to do:
1. Cutting back on porn and masturbation.
2. Working out to lose some weight.

I haven't seen any real changes yet. Is there anything else I should be looking into?

    Yes, you should see a doctor.

    And exercise is great, but if you want to lose weight, you’re probably going to have to change your diet so you have a caloric deficit.

  2. You’re on the right track. Things take a bit for it to come back. I would also suggest upping some vitamin D3+K2 as well as focus on working your lower back. Odds are your lower back is also weak like most people

  3. Early 40’s and doing just fine. I’m fairly healthy though. I don’t watch porn or jerk it, I eat fairly healthy, limit alcohol, and I work out and keep moving.

    Being overweight, porn and alcohol will tank your testosterone/libido.

  4. Is that bone pressed, or non bone pressed length? If it’s not bone pressed, you’ll gain length by losing weight. Stop porn. Period. It’s horrible for your mental health. No cutting back. Just stop. That will help. Cardio helps a ton as well.

  5. Healthy diet with minimal alcohol and caffeine (not that I follow my own advice, but that’s the right answer).

  6. Keep losing the weight. Your length will get longer too once you do that. Cardio will help you regardless in this area.

    If that fails, see a urologist. Ask about a prescription for Cialis or one of the other ED drugs. You can also get an Rx for those online but just make sure to answer the questions honestly or just go see your doctor and get it from them.

  9. I haven’t had any issues yet. It sounds like you could get back to where you need to be if you do a mix of cardio (improve your circulation and endurance) and weight training (increases testosterone). You don’t need a crazy diet, but if you need to lose fat, try better portion control and add in walking. You’d be amazed at how many calories you can burn walking. Unlike running, it won’t wear you out. Stick with it for a few months and you’ll be amazed at the improvement. Good luck.

  10. I’m early 40s myself. A few notes for your points.

    1. Masturbation isn’t bad for you unless youre unable to do other things. Minimizing porn use can be helpful to keep yourself excited for normal sexual interactions.

    2. Working out doesn’t immediately lead to weight loss. Think of it as eating less (fewer calories in) will lead to weight loss from your daily activities (calories out). Don’t get me wrong, exercise is great for you, but focus less on the exercise to lose weight and more on the food/diet management to lose weight. Exercise should be to build stamina (cardiovascular), strength (weight training), and flexibility (stretching, yoga).

  11. Length, elections, and all that good… tne flow isn’t as strong, though. I get there, just fine but less ejaculate.

    My situation is very complex, and it wouldn’t be fair to her to bring a woman into my life right now. I don’t wanna waste her time or mine.

  13. Turned 50 last year. No issues. Realistically, I could still go every day, but the wife’s libido went way down after her hysterectomy, so I’m lucky if it happens once a week. I’m on the bigger side, but stay fairly active. I’m not in bad shape but working to get better and can tell you the better I feel and more active I am, the better everything works down there. It would be worth your time to meet with your doctor and get some bloodwork done just to see where all your levels are at.

    I’m doing MUCH better at 46 than I was ten years ago. Lost 80 pounds, stopped drinking alcohol almost entirely, I eat balanced meals, work out, and left an abusive, toxic marriage and it was like a night and day difference.

  15. 42 and erection still fine but i stared having waay less pressure while peeing so i often drip in the pants or such, but i learned u can mitigate that a bit by some excercises so in gonna try that out.

    i think in young for having such issue bit idk, never spoken to other males about it. i think its because i been binge drinking beer for 2 decades

  16. Weight loss + improving cardio endurance + daily tadalafil 5mg will have a huge impact. I’m 39M and have seen big benefits doing the above. I was diagnosed with low T but prefer to do these lifestyle interventions rather than supplemental T (if possible).

  17. 39 here. Smoking made it hard to keep erections more than a couple minutes. Started Cialis 5mg /day. Worked good. Quit smoking. Kept taking Cialis. I can poke a hole through an oak tree.

    Clean eating, cardio and lifting weights, plenty of sleep and drinking water. Stop Porn and jerking off. Above all this needs to be consistent. Start reading books, hanging with men often. Get a fun active hobby (dancing, hiking, volleyball, pickle ball, etc…). Cut back on drinking and stop smoking if you partake. This is what all Men should be doing regardless of ED issues. It’s what makes us better.

  19. Just turned 40. This is what’s been doing me good in that department. Exercise helps with endurance. Caloric deficit (no macros just eating less). Cut out porn entirely. Cut out alcohol entirely. It’s not going to be instant and will require minimal maintenance to sustain, but your girl might thank you

  20. I seem to have the opposite problem. I can get it up just fine, then I can go and go and go and sometimes never finish. It’s frustrating

  21. Unfuck your diet OP. Exercise all you want but if you’re overweight and not changing your diet it’s not going to have any impact. An hour of moderate cardio is only like 600cals burned which you can undo in the blink of an eye with poor food choices.

  22. Turned 50 in April. Things became unpredictable down there. When it got to the point that I couldn’t depend on a positive outcome every time, I went to the doctor. He gave me 20 mg Cialis and things have been good so far.

  23. 40 here, not good at all. Despite being physically active, muscular in good shape, things are not working well .

    I have a Cialis prescription for life, 5mg daily. It helps but still not entirely satisfactory. I will try Viagra next

  24. veggies, and clean eating, limit the porn seriously. dialing back on that has helped me remain clear headed alot longer. go on walks or a bike ride. I prefer the bike just cuz i feel i can venture further.

    Ok so I feel i am doing well on this.

    Been working on my pelvic floor in addition to general exercise. It’s cool because my erection is party subject to my muscle work down there. Further I can delay my O with these muscles by almost two minutes. Kinda cool.

    Ok then supplements! Chelated Zinc and Lecithin is a plant fat that really helps down there.

    Fish oil cause what doesn’t it do?

    And finally red ginger supplements. They are supposed to help with arrousal, but they definitely enhance the please of an O. I think it constricts a part of the urethra or something. Because when you O, it feels amazing.

    Also ALL of these help with liver health!

  26. At 57 it’s still pretty good! FYI, losing weight will make you longer because there is less fat down there to hide it.

  27. You need to eat less calories than you burn if you truly want to lose weight.

    I would focus mostly on diet with starting small on lifting weights.

    Have you had you’re T checked? Checkout hone or something, your health insurance will probably cover it.
    Probably lose the weight, you’ll get some inches and will naturally gain some T.
    I use porn on a regular basis when i expect sex. I masturbate without completion (edging) which generates T and helps my blood flow down there. I take small amounts of cialis with edging to grow and keep my blood flow healthy.
    I do kegal exercises but i try not to over do it because i don’t want to damage my pelvic floor.

    Treat your junk like another part of your body, it should be healthier or better than your 30s if you’ve been taking care of it, or it’s going to get progressively worse. I’m 48 btw, i have the best sex of my life now

  29. Downstairs works fine but I work so damn much I’m always sore and tired and fall asleep if I sit or lay down for more than 5 minutes.

  30. 40 has been a reawakening to teenage status. I’m extremely in shape, I don’t eat anything fake, and I love foreplay so it works for me.

  31. You can’t outrun a bad diet. If you want to lose weight, you have to be in a calorie deficit. If you want to gain muscle you need to exercise but if you’re eating poorly none of it will matter.
