My and my ex broke up recently a month ago. I There were many issues (she changed her mind and became unsure ab having kids a few years into the relationship, avoidant attachment style refusing to go to therapy or work on issues) so i been checked out for 4-5 months before the actual breakup. I was p sad a few days before the breakup and soon after i been doing well this past month because i just knew it wouldn’t work long term with her.
Anyways I recently last week ran into this girl on instagram I like and i wanna ask her out. We have a few distant mutuals so im gonna shoot my shot over dm(that’s also how i got my ex) but would it be a red flag to go after her 4 weeks after a breakup of a 4 year long relationship ? If she accepts the date, wouldnt it be a red flag to her? Should i wait a few more months ? If the topic comes up (which it will) when discussing our dating history i will tell her the truth but it might scare her away if i tell her im only 4 weeks out of a long relationship? thoughts?
