Hello all!

We live in the UK and have a conservatory with no central heating. We use the conservatory as the second lounge/2nd tv room, it also has 2 Guinea pigs in it that we got in summer. I bought an electric fan heater from Amazon for £50 that turns off when it hits its set temperature (18 degrees). However as the heat leaves quickly the fan comes back on again within 2 mins. This heater can be running for up to 12 hours a day and I’m presuming it’s costing a fair bit of money.

I’m wondering about getting a like filled radiator as it’s more of a long term heat we want rather than short blast of hot air. The conservatory can literally drop to about 5 degrees in the night so we are trying to keep it suitably warm for the guinea pigs and also as a usable room on an evening.

Would an oil filled radiator be a better money efficient way of heating this room?

Thanks in advance!
