A bit of backstory for you.
I work as a fixed-term employee, where the informal agreement between myself and my boss is that my contract is extended before every expiry. I was never meant to receive a P45 either.
After my most recent extension (1st Sept – 31st Jan), HR dragged their feet on putting it through, so the extension came through late, during that time, an automated system they have marked me as an end-of-year leaver, and sent a P45 which I received on the 23rd December, with the date of termination being the 31st December (a month before my official contract ending), which for starters, didn't give me their required notice period of 1 month 1 week, and secondly was the wrong date.
At that point I got into contact with my boss, payroll, and HR, who all made explicitly clear that the P45 was to be revoked ASAP or by the end of the day, and that my account wouldn't be locked.
Fast forward to today, I have checked my HMRC app as my work account has been locked, and lo and behold they no longer see any employment information, and my previous employment is shown as ended.
It's currently the weekend and there is two days until work starts back up, I have already sent an email to my boss from my personal email explaining what has happened, along with CCing in HR, I want to know if there's anything else I can do in the meantime to get some more clarity on the situation.
