The issue we always disagree on is that he listens to his mother more than to me. It makes me feel like I am not their first priority. His mother obligates him to give money to his siblings, and it has to be a specific amount. If he doesn’t follow it, his mother gets angry.
Now I’ve told him that his priority should no longer be his family, but me, his wife. However, whenever I say this, he either doesn’t respond or, when he does, it feels like he is throwing it back in my face.
I’m getting tired of constantly reminding him who his priority should be now that he has a wife. Sometimes I end up crying because of our constant arguments. How can we build a future if he keeps choosing his family over me?
