In recent years I have noted the growing trend of "Wallace and Gromit" alongside similar favourites such as "Shaun the Sheep" being played at Christmas on BBC 1. This strikes me as peculiar as these shows are rarely ever shown by the BBC otherwise and there is no inherent link between these shows and Christmas.
Why is this?
