Took a long walk around the Mayfair/knightsbridge area last week and noticed that almost everyone around me were uber rich Indian students/families, and of course the ultra rich families from the Middle East with the odd Chinese/Russian too. It seems interesting that quite a few of these people come from ex British colonies which now clearly have thriving economies. I didn’t see many British people and even inside high end malls such as Harrods, you don’t even hear a word of English.
This feels strange because the rest of Europe/US still feels very local, there may be some foreigners but nothing like London.
What do British people think of this?
