I'm a pediatric nurse. I work in a hospital setting and I chose to do so because my grandma was a labor and delivery nurse back in the day.

I appreciate the kindness I get from others about what a great job I do, but I also have a lot of internal motivation and I don't do the hard stuff like ER or NICU, so I guess it rolls off of me because I know there are nurses who have it harder than I do. But I can honestly say I have never said that out loud to anyone or shut down anyone's compliments. Ive always been polite

Guy friends, girl friends, family members, relatives, colleagues, acquaintances all comment on the great job I do, how most people could never do what I do, etc.

Recently one of my guy friends called me a blessing, and it took me by surprise because that's not usually how he speaks or talks to people, including me. He takes on a softer tone with me as of recent, but definitely does not use those types of words with anyone else.

Is that an indicator of an interest towards me? It just shocked me a little bit because of how well I know him.

TL;DR guy friend called me a blessing which is out of character for him for how long I've known him

  1. Or he could just be a nice guy.

If he’s not asking you out on a date, don’t assume anything. Or if you want to date him, just ask him out.
