A friend of mine has recently managed to get out a very toxic, very abusive and very disgraceful living situation and is trying to recover their life.
They obviously need photo ID now to mame things easier. They have had a provisional licence in the past, but that has been "lost" and has expired.
They have access to their birth certifcate and they have their NI card.
They have escaped to a new area, with almost no ties to their past situation. Its basically a brand new start.
How can they get a passport or a provisional licence? One of the big big issues we are hitting is the photo counter signature. Unfortunately i dont qualify as one of the suggested professionals to be able to sign it and verify them. They dont have a dentist or a local shop keeper or a work colleague who has known them 2 years now to verify they are who they say they are.
Is there any way to get this done?
Please only serious responses, its a very sensitive topic and I really want to help them, they made a massive step to get "free" and yet, they feel so trapped still.
