On Christmas Eve I (22f) went to a store to buy a last minute gift and ended up asking an employee for help. He (27m) checked me out and was flirting a bit, then ended up asking if I wanted to go on a date and getting my number. We texted a bit for about a week and planned a date for yesterday at a steakhouse.
The date went GREAT, I really liked him and it seemed like he really liked me. We even made plans for the next day (today) to have a more chill hangout. At the end of the date he brought up enjoying late night drives and how he thinks it’s a great way to get to know someone, so I asked if he wanted to go on one for a bit and he was down. We drove around and just talked for two hours and again, it went great and I really enjoyed it. Eventually he took me home and parked outside of my house (I live with my parents currently). We chatted for a bit, he said he had a great time and I thanked him for dinner. He ended up kissing me, which I expected, but then took it a bit further and got very touchy. I eventually pulled away and told him it’s late so I should head inside but he went for another kiss which turned into a second makeout session. After a few minutes I did end up pulling away and telling him again that I need to head to bed which he was super receptive of and mentioned that he didn’t mean to take things too far too fast. I basically ran out of this poor guys car.
I absolutely expected a kiss, even a makeout, but I was just a little thrown off by the touching and didn’t want to take anything too far. He did text me when I got inside and said goodnight and that he really enjoyed the date and I responded that I did too and thank you for dinner, but he hasn’t texted me since. I guess all of this is just to ask if I should text him and apologize for running away? We did make plans for today but no specific time or plan. I do really like him but I am not looking for a quick hookup, I’m looking for a relationship.
Please help I’m not used to this LMAO
