We often see really negative things on Reddit so I want to share something really positive. My husband never really got me good gifts and we’ve been married for over 15 years. This year I thought we wouldn’t do gifts for each other so imagine my shock when my kids told me there was a gift for me. On Christmas morning, I open this huge box with a box inside a gift bag inside the box. It was a jewelry box and I look at my husband really confused. I opened the jewelry box and he had bought me a new engagement ring to replace the one I lost 13 years ago! He had gone to a small jeweler and got it custom made. I was so shocked and this was so unexpected. I’ve been wearing a really cheap wedding band only all these years and he decided to get me a new ring after such a long time without one.
It was such a beautiful gift and I was truly shocked. Our marriage had not been easy, but we have persevered and it’s amazing to see where we are today.
