28M Engaged to 27F and Terrified This Is What Marriage Will Feel Like

What shame? I know plenty of people who pulled out of engagements and it’s not that big of a deal. This past Fall, I was supposed to go to a wedding that got cancelled just weeks before the wedding day. People spent a few days wondering what happened and then moved on. Compare that to the fact that if you marry her, you could be dealing with the repercussions for another 50 years or so. If you have kids with her, they will have to deal with the repercussions of the damage of having her for a mother even after you’re gone. Take it from somebody whose mother is like your fiancee. People’s opinions about a cancelled engagement is the least of your worries.
