I’ve just got into my first ever romantic relationship with a really sweet guy and we’re getting more and more active sexually. I’m a virgin but he’s really patient and I’m comfortable with him, however when he fingers me it usually hurts and burns a bit at first since we have never used lube. I recommended, that we should try it, however he said that he had never used lube before with his exes and didn’t know anything about lubricants. But of course, he agreed to try it out. Since he is not well-informed in this topic and I’m a beginner, we don’t really know what type of lube we should buy. I’ve been reading a lot about water-and silicon-based lubes, but we just can’t decide which one would be better for us. Most people online recommend silicon-based but I just don’t know the pros and cons. Also, my skin is pretty dry overall, and I fear that lube would make it even drier.
