I recently reconnected with a guy I knew from a job about 3 years ago. We’ve been talking on Instagram and flirting a bit. My life is extremely busy right now — I’m finishing my second degree, in an internship, and working full-time — so the idea of something serious feels overwhelming.
He just texted me:
“also i wanted to ask, are you looking for smth serious or”
I honestly don’t know how to answer. I’ve never really done casual before. I had a FWB situation with an ex, but with the history involved, I don’t think that really counts.
Right now, I want something easy, consistent, and fun, with open communication and honesty. I’m open to seeing where things go and enjoying the physical side of things, but I’m not looking to rush into anything serious.
How do I say this to him? Is what I’m describing considered casual?
