There was a recent post in this sub asking people to rate their marriage on a scale of 1-10. My marriage has not been going well for many many years. Growing up, my parents didn’t model a healthy loving marriage and we had a chaotic home. My husband’s parents didn’t have a healthy relationship either and eventually divorced. His home was chaotic too but for different reasons. My marriage is at a 2 or 3 almost always and we’ve done many years of counseling. I often wonder what other marriages look like behind closed doors. I was shocked to see the number of people who rated their marriage at a 7 or higher. I would love to hear what it is about your marriage that leads to such a high score. Bonus points for couples with high scores, have young children, are both working full time and are lower middle class.
