Visiting London with my brother in March. We’ve both been before multiple times and I’ve done some great day trips in the past to places like Oxford, Cambridge, Bath, and the Cotswalds. The classic tourist spots.
However, I’d love to see what lesser known (tourist-wise) spots that people recognize that are good to visit to get some history, a beautiful old church or two, a good pub, etc relatively close to London (<2.5 hours by public transit).
I realize those things are many in England but just seeing if there are any particular favorites from people who know the area well, as well as any highlights of those places. I appreciate your time.
*(We are Americans but I promise we won’t be yelling rudely in your beautiful town if you recommend it).
