30 years old never moved out have been living with my dad longer than I wanted to help him with bills since my parents split but the house is now paid off and I can’t with him any longer.
I make 66.3k net with no debt and pay my ccs off every month, have a car, and a few streaming services almost 35k in savings. I as of now give my dad 400 for rent and pay for the electricity at around 150-200.
I’m not sure where to go or how. Meaning should I get my own place or get a roommate (financially the second would be better, but I would definitely enjoy the peace and quiet of my own space)
I have a good friend who last year said he’d clear out a bedroom he uses for storage and I’d give him around 6-7 hundred. But I’d be the third roommate and have to share a bathroom with the second who’s also a friend.
The other option of getting my own place obviously is going to be more pricey I’m in South Florida the bare minimum 1/1s closest to my job are start at 1550 and these places are “ugly” to me. Anything livable starts at 1700 and up.
I’m also thinking once I move out I need a plan right? Whether it be to buy a house or even a dream of living in Costa Rica for 6 months I should have some sort of goal right?
