My boyfriend lost his job back in February. He has a house in kentucky (i live in illinois) it was more so just a get away home but his mom lives there. He always planned to retire there. He claims hes been applying here but no one was calling. He applied for a job out there (knowing we would be over) and he got the job. I am devastated. He says i can move there but I have been at my job here for 13 years and make very good money. I have a four year old as well. I have a custody agreement with my ex and he takes her every other weekend. Theres no way he would let me relocate so i would have to lawyer up and fight him and I truly dont believe a judge is going to let me relocate for a boyfriend (lets be realistic) He still wants to spend time together before he leaves but i feel like its pointless. I just cant uproot my life i have too much here and im very close with my mom. I just needed to vent. I feel like what he did was horrible. Feel like he wasted 2 years of my life – my daughter is also very attached to him. I just don’t see long distance being sustainable.
