I (27) (F) was seeing this guy (36) casually over a year.
We haven’t slept together in about 6 months, but before that we were active for a while. Even back then, I asked him to take an HIV test and he refused. Instead he showed me a blood donation card instead.
The HIV rates in my region have been going up and it honestly made me more cautious.
Fast forward to now: I brought it up again before restarting anything. I asked him respectfully.

He immediately got defensive, said something must be wrong with me, called it “ridiculous,” ignored my call, told me he’s gonna stop sleeping with me. I told him he has a right to refuse taking a test but I also have a right to refuse having sex with someone whose status I don’t know, he ended it with one word “ok”

For context: I got tested twice and showed him so I know I’m safe. It’s his reaction that bothers me. Why would someone refuse a basic test twice and lash out like that? Is this a major red flag or am I expecting too much for something that’s casual? What am I really missing here? Is it offensive ?

TL;DR: Asked the guy I’m sleeping with to get an HIV test because rates are rising where I live. He refused again, got angry, and acted defensive. Then decided that we are done.
