Back to work today after a very welcome long weekend!
The official city Christmas tree was put up yesterday in the main square,a very simple affair this year…a real tree, with basic lights only.
Only a couple of weeks work until the vacation starts,in fact a little under two weeks.
Is anyone travelling for Christmas? Or are you staying at home?
I’m reading an article about a small village in Germany which is famous for making wooden toys, it’s called Seiffen.Has anyone ever been there?
Do you own any of these traditional types of toys? Or are they mostly to sell to tourists? More of a souvenir than a real toy for children to play with?
Whelp. I had a long day yesterday with lots of walking, and since I had meetings I decided to put on new, nice shoes… not knowing that they’re absolutely not made for it. They completely butchered my feet. Eeeep. Shoes are so important. Too bad that their good looks and comfort are almost always mutually exclusive.
I am so exhausted. I wish I could just go home and nap.
You know how some native American tribes would intentionally make mistakes in their weaving or pottery because they believed that only God or gods are perfect? I feel like I’m starting to see the logic in that with AI and writing.
More and more I see people on Reddit making posts and comments that have all the obvious hallmarks of being generated by an LLM. Perfect grammar, the heavy use of em-dashes, that patronisingly affirming tone, I’m sure you all are aware how to spot them.
I’m at a point where I’m considering starting to make intentional mistakes in my writing because only the LLMs are perfect. Luckily since English isn’t my first language there’s always bound to be something off with my English writing anyway. But maybe a little their/they’re mixup every once in a while would be safe to communicate my humanness.
