Hey everyone,
I keep running into the same pattern and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’ll go on 2–3 good dates with someone, things seem to be going well—good conversation, mutual interest, no obvious red flags—and then… the connection just fizzles. Either they stop initiating, or the vibe drops off completely.
I’m trying to figure out if this is:
- A normal part of modern dating,
- A compatibility issue I’m misreading,
- Something I might be doing without realizing it.
For context:
- I’m genuinely interested and try to show it without being clingy.
- I don’t trauma-dump, overshare, or rush things.
- I keep communication steady but not excessive.
- I try to plan thoughtful dates and be present.
Yet somehow, I can’t seem to get past the early stage.
Anyone else been through this? What helped you break the cycle or understand what was going on? Any insight is appreciated—brutal honesty is welcome too.
