I dont really know how to phrase this and I apologize if its been brought up before (couldn't find older posts about this topic). I have this issue where what I want to say usually isn't delivered the way I hope it would. If I say something serious people usually burst into laughter and can't believe I'm being serious. And if I'm making a joke about something they start to take offense or be uncomfortable. So I just wanna understand if maybe its an issue of the delivery or missing social cues. It's really messed up my confidence and made me more closed off. The reason it messes with my confidence is because I've noticed if literally anyone else says the exact same thing they get a good response.
