I work as a custodian. My boss lives far away and doesn't do direct deposit. I asked before when I first started and when my check has been late before but he said they simply don't do it. I can't remember if there was a reason why.
But my check is late again. It should have been here the 28th, last Friday but it isn't. Last time I wanted a week and a half only to find my check at the abandon house next door but I checked and it isn't there. Before hand my boss said he has had trouble with my local post office and maybe things are delayed.
I really need my paycheck. I wish he would just do direct deposit and my family gets frustrated and tell me I should be firm and put my foot down and say I won't work until I am paid. But I don't know if I can do that.
Any advice? I really need my check and I'm paid bi-weekly btw.
