In America sure plenty of people get a job and are ok working that job the rest of their life with modest raises to keep up with inflation.
People that are ok getting a job that pays median wage today and it will be the median wage when they retire in 30 years.

But then there is the other half of Americans that are constantly trying to climb the corporate ladder or get their business off the ground. They want to start out of college above the median wage and make multiples of it annually by the time they're retired.

Is it top of mind throughout Europe? I ask because most Europeans I know in America moved here because of money. But I wonder if its the same for people that aren't leaving the country.
