I think the standard here is around 3 euros, give or take depending on how fancy the place is. These are Zagreb prices, coast is more expensive

Talking about the default domestic lagers that are everywhere, not some craft beers

  1. Anything from €6 to €9 in most normal bars.

It can depend on location, too. Cities will be more expensive. Particular parts of cities are more expensive again.

  2. In the UK, it can vary wildly, I’ve seen €8+ in London and as little as €5 in the north of England.

  3. 3-4€ in Bucharest which is insane.

But there are a few hidden gens where you can still find it for 1-1.5€ but there are less and less.

  4. from €7.5 to around €10

At a fancy restaurant or craft beer place it could be as bad as €15

  5. London : £7 pints are now not unknown, elsewhere in England (at least the south) most have generally now surpassed the £5 barrier, but there are exceptions, and a Wetherspoons outside of London might well sell you a pint of a first class beer for under £4 or maybe even less

  6. a beer from the tap costs 5-6 euros on average, but it’s often a 0.4 liters rather than a 0.5 liters.

  7. That would be around €5-€6. However, in Belgium the standard size of ‘pils’ beer is 25cl, they go for €2,50-€3.

Stronger specialty beers are served in 33cl, and will cost €4-€6 mostly.

  8. I pay £4.40 a pint for traditional cask beer in the north of England, but £6 for fancy microbrews. That is not in the city center

  9. Grocery stores around 50 cents, in bars I think around 2-3€, more if you’re downtown.

  10. In Dublin, around €5 on the cheaper end, at the more traditional local pubs, can easily be close to €8 at trendier newer places. Average is probably around €6.50. Prices don’t vary that much depending on the type of beer, craft beers can even be on the cheaper end sometimes.

  11. You mean 0,5l of beer, right? Not half a beer?

At the two pubs where I like to go the beer is 34kč (1,40€) and 38kč (1,57€). But anything around 40-45kč (1,65-1,86€) is normal at regular pubs. And 55-80kč (2,27-3,31€) is normal in bigger cities, actual sit-down restaurants etc.

  12. Depends on the city/town and if it’s downtown or not. Downtown Helsinki can cost over 10€, while just outside of the city center it can cost 5€. Cheapest I’ve seen was 4,50€.

There is no standardization. It costs as much as the owner wants it to. And if you know the owner well enough, you could get a small discount (lowest I’ve paid is 2,20€).

  13. Around €4-5~ here in Poland in big cities (Warsaw, Krakow, Gdańsk etc)

This year when I travelled to smaller towns I had the pleasure of buying a 0.5L beer for €1.5~

  14. In Helsinki Finland it is 5-13€ depending on the place and how far it is from the centre.

  15. In a pub in the center of a larger city in Germany you have to pay 5 – 6 EUR 🤷‍♂️

  16. Around 3-3,5 euros. Sometimes you can still find places that sell for 2-2,5 but it’s rare. Fancy beers can go up to 5-7 euros.(Edit: these are Budapest prices)

  17. In Norway its everything from 5 euros in the very local «brown» pubs to 15 euros in the popular spots and the high traffic tourist areas.

In Oslo we have pilsguiden.no which lists places from cheapest beer to most expensive. At the thief hotel rooftop bar 0.5 l beer costs about 15 euros. While at the cheapest pub it costs about 4 euros.

  18. Anything between 2,50€ and 8€. Depends on “class” of the bar, location, beer type.

  19. 0.5l Pils beer from the tap is 3,90€ in the rather nice pub around the corner. Guinness is 4,90€

  20. Beer in Italy is quite expensive. For a 0,5L (which is 0,4L in Italy) expect to pay minimum 4 euros, but it is usually between 5-7 euros for regular crap beer.

But Wine is very cheap compared to the rest of Europe.

  21. 4 to 6€ for Export, Pilsner or Weizen. Depends on the part of the city and if it is owned by a brewery. Free pubs are usually more expensive, and some old pubs have what seems to be old contracts which enables them to sell cheaper.
Out in the country or in club pubs (eg the local gardening club can have clubhouse with pub) it can go as low as 3,50

  22. Starting at 2€ in the non fancy places with the bulk being about 3€ for a local brand. I had a Bernard from the tap for 6€ the other day in just a regular diner. Depending on the type of establishment and beer sky can be the limit but personally I never paid more than 10€ for a beer.

  23. From personal experience, it usually costs around 4-5eur for a 0,5l beer these days.

At some places you still might get a Laško or Union for around 3eur. Laško and Union are owned by Heineken tho, and are really not what one might look forward to at the end of the day. Still good when served cold in the summer..

At a grocery store, like Spar or Hofer, you get much better deals and a wide variety of beers in the 1,2-2,2eur range, domestic or imported.

  24. Where I live (inland from Málaga), it’s 2,50-3,50€ for .5L, depending. Málaga city, 4-7€

  25. In most Danish cities, a 0.5L beer typically costs 35-70 DKK (€ 4.70-9.40), depending on the venue and beer type.

Casual pubs are on the lower end (around 35-55 DKK), while trendy bars or craft beer spots can reach 70 DKK or more.

  26. In Budapest you can no longer buy 0.5L beer in a pub, thanks to shrinkflation. They usually sell 0.4L, and the price varies. You can get a cheap one around 5 EUR, or a fancy one between 10-15 EUR.

  27. In Netherlands half a liter is between €6,50 and €9,50 depending on the place and type of beer from what I’ve seen

  28. Beer is sold in pints in UK (0.57 litres). Prices will depend on location but from £4 to £8 (4.5€ to 9€).

  29. Parisian here. my cheapest go-to bar serves 0,5L beers for 2,90€, and i’ve seen up to 12-13€ pints in fancy places. i’d say the average price is 6,50€

  30. 3-5 euro in Ljubljana. But I know a spot that sells it for 2 Eur. A cheap can costs about 1,3 Eur

  31. It’s becoming quite obvious why less people go out and drink in pubs and instead are staying at home 😳

  32. In a café in Belgium it’s around €5 for 50cl of standard draught beer (Stella, Jupiler, etc ). However it’s normally consumed in 25cl “pintjes” (little pints) at half that price.

  33. Cheers from Kosice, Slovakias 2nd biggest city.

°10 beer in local pub 1,7-2,2€

Pilsner Urquell or similar in old town restaurants and pubs 2,7-3,5€

  34. Are there countries out there where they have a similar price over the entire country?

In my native UK it changes MASSIVELY depending on where you are.

  35. in Copenhagen beers are usually 0.4l not 0.5l, and it’s usually around 65 dkk or about €8.7

  36. Switzerland, with current exchange rate it is €9.64 (9 chf). Keep in mind that the Swiss franc tends to go up though so even a few years ago it wouldn’t been a whole euro cheaper.

  37. In Tbilisi now standard is 10 lari (3.2 euro). Very rarely can still find for 8 lari. Four years ago it was 6 lari and ten years ago it was 2 lari. Now they stopped to raise prices for the moment and start instead to give 0.4 or 0.33l beers instead of 0.5.

  38. Geneva where I’m at rn, probably 9 chf, France idk either, Paris varies a lot (3.5€ to like 9-10€). On average in a random bar in France I would say 7.5€?

  39. It’s hard to find that format here in Spain.
We have “caña” which is 0.2 or 0.25 usually 1-1,5€
We have “doble” or “Sidra” glass which is 0.4 for 2,2-3,5€
0.5 would be “jarra” (jar) and is associated with low cost places where you can find them for as low as 2€ and international places where they are minimum 4€ and up.

If you are in Madrid or Barcelona, double the prices.
