There was a time when I would do just about anything to stop the thinning and receding. And when the solutions I tried didn't work, hats and beanies became every day attire. Then, I bit the bullet and shaved it all off and of course it took a while to get used to. But after a lot of positive reinforcement and unsolicited compliments, I've not only accepted, but embraced the bald look. (Not to mention it's a time & money saver.) It's almost hard to imagine going back to the old days. So I pose the question to my bald brothers: if you could go back… would you?

combing hair + buying hair products + making hair look neat V’s shaving every other day in the shower.
Of course. Whoever says overwise is lying.
Nah. Been bald for over 30 years. I think hair would just feel inconvenient and gross.
Yes, if I’m being completely honest being bald sucks. The only thing it’s good for is if you get into a fight the opponent can’t grab your hair.
Being bald makes you look older, usually makes you less attractive and makes you scarier looking especially combined with a beard.
If I could regrow my hair I’d do it in a heartbeat.
I started shaving the head daily in the shower many years ago. I could have a mostly full head of hair now with just a bit of a bald spot on top if I wanted. But I am NOT going back. Shaved head all the way.
Yeah hair is too much work, I’m never going back
Not bald but balding. I think at this point I would want a full head of hair but once I understand that once you shave it off you learn tonaccept it.
No. When I had a full head of hair it was a pain in the arse. No hairstyles seemed to suit me and they grew out so quickly anyway. I don’t miss having to make it look presentable several times a day with hair products etc. Good riddance to it!
I would
My head shape prevents me from ever wanting to go bald, I’ve seen myself with a buzz cut and I’ll say that I will continue to use finasteride until I die lol. Jealous of the guys that can rock bald and look great, well done.
yeah, it keeps me from being the first to know it’s raining.
nah, shave it off ASAP, going bald has made me more confident, and has saved me a ton of time and money from not having to upkeep hair.
No. I hate sweating with hair and I don’t like sideburns curling over my glasses.
I don’t know. My kids and partner don’t know me with hair. I’d honestly consult them. Maybe that sounds weird but I don’t care about being bald.
I don’t know why I fought it so long. Being bald is awesome.
Yes. Obviously keeping a full head of locks is better in nearly every metric.
The baldness embrace isn’t (usually) done out of a love for the cue ball look but a realization of how bad one looked trying to deny their physical reality.
I immediately looked 10 years younger when I shaved it all off. Bald bros get juiced and want to tell the world how great it is when they have that eureka moment.
Probably. I hate wearing hats to protect my head from the sun and also the hair soaks up the meat sweats.
I think I would still shave it but I would enjoy the stubble being even when i went a few days between shaves. I don’t always shave every day.
I would. I like shaving or buzzing my head for convenience, cost, and I don’t mind it, especially when I have a beard. But without my beard I think I look like I have a small dome.
At one time I had really beautiful shoulder length hair, and I was telling my roommate recently I actually miss my relationship with hair ties. I’d have them stashed conveniently everywhere – around the shifter knob or stacked on the windshield wiper, around door knobs, pockets, and I even came to have a carabiner attached to my backpack for neatness.
Putting my hair up was nice. The convenience of being bald versus cost, maintenance and upkeep, etc. is “better”, even for shorter cuts, but it was nicer to look at and fun to have options. Sometimes I rotate hat styles and I think people just don’t care about my hats like they’d care about nice hair.
No appointments for hair cuts is enough for me. Keep shaving I say.
Absolutely. But, I’m perfectly content with being a brother of the dome.
I could use a second head, why not.
No thanks. Been shaving for nearly 30yr, started when I still had hair on top. Not having to mess with hair is great. Just shave occasionally and im good.
In a heartbeat. My hairline started receding at 13.
Im shaving it off. Hair is too much trouble to deal with. Not worth the effort or money. Between shampoo, combing, paying someone $10 to cut it every couple of months. I’ve saved hundreds if not thousands since I’ve been bald.
Plus I’ve banged way more women since Ive been bald than I ever did with hair.
Not bald but I’m surprised to see how many men say they dgaf and would chose saving a few minutes a day over having hair.
I suppose once you get used to for a very long time, it and feel like your looks don’t matter all that much anymore, you might think *”why bother”* ?
I’m not convinced at all that the vast majority of men look better bald (at best, they “still look good” or “not too bad”, but it’s almost never a net positive)
Yes. A lot of people saying hair is a lot of work but honestly shaving my head constantly is really annoying.
If you’d asked me 3 years ago. I would have said: keep the hair. But my woman loves the bald head (it was the reason she was attracted to me in the first place); so for her, I would shave it again.
No
I would but I would cut it military style again
Nah, bald is easier to care for and my wife prefers bald men. Luckily I have a nice shaped head and look good bald.
No, I think I’d just look weird with it at this point
Doesn’t matter to me. I’ve been shaving my head since i was 23. Hair has never mattered to me as far as my self image is concerned. I’m handsome either way.
Id keep it, but go straight back to my mohawk. I miss that thing.
