I'm a senior who entered the dating world 3 years ago. I'm really picky as it is and then after having dates with women I'm interested in, I discover I have some non negotiables I never thought of before.
One is someone who treats their pet as a child and they have to go everywhere with them. I grew up with dog and cat pets but they're pets to me. When I go out to dinner, they don't. Or on holidays. No.
Another one is super specific dietary requirements and being critical of what's in my cupboard or what I eat. If we're so opposite on what we regard as food, we probably won't work.
And the one I just discovered. I've only online chatted with her but we have a ton in common. She's smart, funny, good looking. But her spelling is terrible. I made a joke of one and she said you'll have to deal with it lol. Such a weird thing to identify with. That turned me off more than I thought it would. In my opinion an adult who misspells a lot and is fine with it, is lazy. And it makes one look not very smart. You've spoken and written English your whole life and you willfully disregard normal communication. Don't think I can ignore this.
Ready for being called a grammar Nazi. I'm good with it.
