So there’s a singer who is very interactive with fans on Twitter but with time has become more inactive.
It’s a big deal to get a notice from her—a like, Retweet or quote. People try but more often less notices are given.

However she had a new shirt drop and so she’s quoting literally anyone who has proof they bought a shirt. I bought one online and got a quote and it’s so cool she thanks us that way

My friend can’t buy the merch until February and it seems the singer is only quoting people until the month ends in a few days so it’s a time crunch

So she asked me to give her photos of my email/order confirmation from her official site that I didn’t share so she can show support and try to get a quote since this may be the only chance she gets for a notice.

So I don’t wanna deny my friend a chance for a notice but it’s also dishonest But is it dishonest if she’s going to buy it again later anyway? Like if she asks someone for screenshots of their merch purchase and that someone had no desire to share the pictures or post, why let it go to waste?
She’d only say “happy to show support” with a photo of the receipt.

And bottom line it’s raising awareness for the singer and spreading the word and showing support, so she says why not use any screenshot or receipt available if there’s people who bought it and didn’t care enough to show on social media…the very thing that helped get her popular in the first place?

But I also don’t want to promote her feeling guilty and being dishonest and lying. Or is this concern not true if it’s essentially rain checking and using receipts that otherwise wouldn’t have been shared?

I’m leaning towards not doing it but I also would hate to not do it and cause her to lose a notice opportunity and it turns out doing it wouldn’t be an issue either. Thank you
