My partner (41f) and I (47f) have been sleeping in a queen bed for the last 3 yrs. I have not been sleeping well in it. I like a softer mattress, I like to beable to spread out, and I have been having hot flashes. My partner has been against us getting a king size bed because she likes to be close to me. I finally convinced her we needed a new bed because I was not sleeping and therefore not being a great partner because I was always so tired an irritable.

We have had the new king size bed now for 1 week and I am sleeping better than I have in years. We purchased one with adjustable firmess for both sides and all the bells and whistles. The problem is now she isn't sleeping and says it's because she feels like she is sleeping alone. I don't know what to do, do we get rid of the bed and go back to a queen? How do I reassure her that a king size bed isn't going to ruin our relationship?

TL;DR** she isn't sleeping and says it's because she feels like she is sleeping alone. Do we get rid of the bed and go back to a queen? How do I reassure her that a king size bed isn't going to ruin our relationship?
