For a bit of context (also keep in mind English is not my first language). We’ve been together for little over a year now and I heard through someone else that he’s been saying that he doesn’t see a future with me because he “doesn’t know what I like”. Which I’d like to disagree with because even though he never asks me questions about anything deep, I’d like to think that when we hang out he takes the time to at least pay attention to what I share with him.
He has a very demanding job and usually when we talk it’s just him telling me about his day and all the craziness that happens. I’m a nanny, my kid is super easy so most times I don’t have anything to say to him about my day or what I do or don’t.
I’ve been trying to make conversation with him and ask him about sports and stuff here in the US since they’re different from the ones in my country, but I can’t get him to engage enough.
How can I improve with our conversations? I’m honestly lost here.
