Short form of the story is that I might be losing my job next month due to it possibly ending. I floated the idea of that I would move home if I could not find anything by the end of our lease (May 2026). My boyfriend tends to flip out whenever i mention this possibility, but I don’t feel comfortable signing a lease on a new place without a job. My boyfriend is pretty reliant on me and my assets such as my car as he does not have one and says it will ruin his career if I left the city as he would have no way to get around etc. I hate that our relationship really revolves around me keeping my job while he gets to pursue his passions in a field that pays him just enough to get by. Overall just a frustrating situation we could possibly be in but he makes it worse by saying comments about not taking other jobs I’ve been offered in the past. I was offered an interview with this company with terrible reviews so I declined due to my current job obligations being a good situation. Then he tried to use that against me today saying I should’ve taken them up on it, even though we both agreed before it was a terrible opportunity…
