I've seen lots of short films of police pulling motorists over for traffic violations in the USA. Time and again the driver demands the officer 'get a supervisor down here'.
I'm in the UK and you wouldn't dream of making such a request, well I don't think so anyway. The police officer would find it hilarious and assume you were joking.
So, is asking for a supervisor from the police station really a thing? And if it is, does a supervisor actually attend and does it make a difference to the outcome?
