I recently had a discussion with my boss, and he threw a really uncomfortable comment at me in front of everyone. I was completely stunned and mumbled something and my mood dropped instantly.

Later, I kept replaying the moment in my head a million times, coming up with all the perfect replies I could have said… but of course, it was too late.
This happens to me a lot — I freeze in the moment, then overthink it for hours afterward.

I wonder, does the same happen to you often? How do you cope?
