How do you personally define masculinity in today’s world, and has that definition changed for you over time?

Stoic, hard working, healthy agression, encouraging.
I honestly don’t try to define it, it’s just subjective vibes to me
I think masculinity is about being able to put on a brave face in hardship and be a leader to those around you. It has changed though. I think it’s less strict than it used to be.
Like I use a moisturizer because I have dry skin, obviously no one in my generation cares but my dad acted like caring about my skin/appearance was the most feminine thing I could ever do lol
I don’t define it. I’m just a man living my life. Nothing to add.
Good at a semi-formal and equally good on a sinking ship.
Be kind, contribute to society
As a woman, I don’t think the definitions of masculinity and femininity have changed all that much over time. What’s changed is the expectation for anyone to neatly fit into either definition, regardless of your sex/gender.
Masculinity is never something positive, you often find the word toxic before it. Being male is a sin in itself because you have all that masculinity.
Testosterone is the worst hormone and men suffer from it all their lives, not once a month or at a certain age but 24/365.
I recently underwent a medical treatment that depressed the testosterone in my body. As far as my moods and feelings were concerned it was blissful. I didnt get angry or frustrated, my wife loved it, I was much easier to live with.
It is not masculinity that is the problem it is testosterone that is toxic.
Approachable, independent, calm and reliable.
My definition is just…be born with a dick.
This question has been asked and answered many times already, have you tried searching this sub?
In my case. It is not conforming to pressure as to what men should do. Friends/work colleagues find it odd when I go out and party, I’m not looking to fuck. I’m looking for a good time with my friends and enjoy my night.
It’s great that I get some attention from women. I’ll grab her number if I like her, buy her some drinks and dance with her. But I can guarantee I’m not thinking about sex, I’m living in the moment and having fun.
Mostly don’t have a definition. But things like sticking to your principles, being assertive, knowing when to say no are good traits. Whether they are considered masculine or not.
All i know is masculinity doesn’t really change with time. Since it’s basically just what human males are.
I don’t. It’s not a category I spend any time thinking about.
