Me and my girlfriend have been together 4 months on July 4th of this month, and she makes me happier than I’ve ever thought possible. She brings out a side of me I never knew existed, and we both agreed we are ready to settle down together. Some back story; a month into us being together my parents moved out of their mobile home and I took over the place. Me and my girlfriend sat down and had a long talk about her moving in and what all we need to expect when taking such a big step early on. Living together hasn’t given us any issues- sure we have some arguments as expected. But we make each other really happy!
Recently I’ve been thinking about proposing. Before you say anything! Me and her both agreed (she found out about my plan) that if we were to get engaged we wouldn’t get married for a while. I personally don’t have an issue with it considering it actually gives her time to be a Fiancé for a while before we officially tie the knot. I wanna talk to my parents about it as well as her dad (to ask permission to propose) but I’m worried they would not be with it considering we are only 4 months in. Let me know what you think happy to read all responses!
