I had an eye exam today. I walked in rather reservedly. I was directed to a cutie who happened to also facilitate the exam.
After she finished blowing air straight into my eyeballs, I took a seat in the lobby again. I noticed another cutie walk out of a room with a guy who I objectively think looks better than I do. But he left. It's Halloween, so both of these women are wearing zip-up costumes: a Piglet and Eyore.
I walked over to the frame rack and recounted to anyone who would listen how I recently bought sunglasses because someone said I look good in them and I need some peer pressure to decide. It was actually a surprise; my one and only pair of sunglasses is from high school.
The two I mentioned earlier were in their twenties, there were two old ladies, and there was one ambiguously in the middle. The lady in the middle answered the call and set to work telling me which glasses I look good in.
She really understood the assignment, because she started asking the older ladies their opinions and then invited the younger ladies when they emerged from the patient rooms again. I actually was surprised which frames they thought looked good, so it was a win-win.
By the end of the process, I had five women in front of me giving me their opinion on how the shape looked good on me or the color complemented my eyes and hair. All I had to do was pose, look back at them, and egg them on.
While I was checking out, the first woman made sure to reference me by name talking to the others. It was a pretty relaxed atmosphere.
It was such a positive experience! Low pressure and fun. And exactly what I enjoy about being single. Thanks for appreciating the moment with me.
