So I’m in first year of uni and this is the last month of 1st year before I go back to my country for a 3 month summer break (Im studying in Aus so the year structure is different). I’ve talked and hanged out quite a lot with a guy in the same dorm for a month. We’re gonna have another month of studying together before we both return to our respective countries. Next year we’re staying at different dorms so therell be less chances seeing each other.

I think he’s really, really oblivious bc he too doesnt have any prior relationship and seems unaware even with the very obvious hints. I trust hes a kind enough guy to not hurt me if I confess. He likes me as a friend but he doesnt show any sign of wanting beyond that.

My friends say it’s pointless to confess if he doesnt seem to like me back and advises to be patient. Still, I want to know the answer so I can move on earlier instead of spending more time pursuing a one-sided crush.

Last semester I had a HUGE crush on a different guy. Didnt go well, we fell apart & I was just devastated. That made me tired of chasing and waiting for an uninterested man.
I want to just move on early, quit being delusional & continue a casual friendship, instead of pondering for the whole summer break.

Should I “cook” the relationship for longer or just try for a straightforward answer
