how do i talk to professors and actually get them to remember/like me? i'm a second-year in college and i feel like i've already wasted so many opportunities to make connections w/ my professors. ppl r constantly telling me that talking to ur professors is super important and valuable, but i have no idea where to start.
i'm already trying to get past my irrational fear that all authority figures r terrifying and unreachable, so if any other minor inconvenience shows itself i start chickening out. i often find myself w/ nothing to say or questions to ask in class. when i do decide to go to office hours, i end up just listing questions and not knowing how to form an actual connection. and this semester i have a professor i genuinely like but i have another class during her office hours, which makes it difficult to find a time to talk to her at all.
there's only one professor that i rlly bonded with but bc the class wasn't related to my major, i haven't seen him for months and at this point it feels awkward to try and pop in just to say hi or smth.
