Hey guys, I (m/28) can’t stop thinking about pursuing a career in a field I genuinely love. What I do now pays well and it’s relatively easy, but it’s not something society would ever thank me for. I’m not proud of it either.
I feel like I need to be part of creating something meaningful.
Has anyone here ever switched from a comfortable, well-paid job to a harder, lower-paying one just for the sake of doing what you love?
I do have a loan but no family obligations. My parents aren’t fans of this idea – they think it’s more important to have money than to do what you love. I’m just looking for a different point of view.
