Hi, all. I’ve noticed this happens sometimes, where i approach service workers or other new people and they seem to get smiley and chuckle lightly even though I wasn’t being funny. I know service workers have to be smiley for work, but I know what that looks like and this feels like a different thing. Possible culprits are my colorful outfits, my demeanor (eyes open wide and they kinda dart around my surroundings, and my resting face is vague smile) and my general whimsy/bounce in the step. Usually happens with professors and male strangers around my dad’s age (50s?)

How should I react, and does this mean am I doing something wrong? Should i be interested in changing myself? Could there be negative social consequences and what are they? If so, how am I to fix it?
