I know this question has been asked before but I just need to vent. I matched with a guy who moved close to me for work/school just a couple months ago. He is a fellow so he said he was always busy so he rarely replied right away but when he did, once or twice a day, he gave long responses and asked me questions too. We face timed and went on a date which went well, it lasted seven hours and it only ended because I had to go home and worked the next day. He also had a trip planned the following day where he was going back home for a little over a week. He texted me when he was getting ready to leave, when he got there and then one morning he asked about my day and I replied almost right away but he ended up ghosting and I never heard back. It’s been almost a week and I’m just confused. I’ve been on dates where we mutually ghost, or they tell me they didn’t feel a connection but this is the first time I feel good about a date and he just ghosts. He asked me out and I chose the location since he’s new and I know more places around here. He wanted to meet earlier in the morning but I had errands but we still spent a lot of time together for a first date. We kissed but didn’t sleep together, he drove me to get food before I left home because I was starving and kissed goodbye. We talked about a second date when he got back, we had agreed on the place but the day we were unsure off because of my schedule. I thought things were going good. I also would have understood if the conversation had died and we just didn’t follow up but he initiated and ghosted when I gave a long answer and asked him about his trip.
