How many of your family members live in another state?
All of them, as far as I’m aware.
My youngest child, brother and sister all live several states away, and I have aunts, uncles, cousins and niblings all across the country.
My in-laws are in another state, everyone on my side who isn’t my mom and my brother live in another country
All of them, except for the ones who live in other countries 🙂
80% of my children live in the same state I do. All my other blood relatives live in another state
All of them, except for my wife.
All of them. I’m the only one in this state.
All, unless I count future in-laws.
I am in Los Angeles, almost all of my close family is back on the east coast with a big extended contingent in Michigan.
immediate family? None. I have cousins and other “relatives” I haven’t spoken to in 35+ years in other states. But I don’t really consider them family.
Not enough.
Well they’re all dead but before then. None
Of my blood kin, all but two. Of my wife’s family, significantly more.
I’m in Illinois I got some family in Wisconsin but that’s not that far considering we are all close to the Illinois Wisconsin border so it’s not like we are hours away. We are actually less than an hour drive away, I also have family in Alabama and Florida
Five.
Everyone who lives in a different state is only a state over from me though. I’m in VA, they’re in NC. The closest relative that lives out of state is about 45 minutes away, while everyone else is about 4-5 hours away. Nothing crazy.
None that I know of
All my family is here. Some distant relatives live out of state though.
I’d say… 90% of them.
The rest that are in this state are 3 or more hours away as far as I know.
All of them. I moved to a different state. Nearest family member is well over 500 miles away.
Literally all of them.
All of them, except for a cousin of a cousin.
All of them.
My side of the family all live in other states, including extended family.
My husband’s side of the family all live in the same state as we do, except for one uncle in Florida and one cousin in NH.
All of them, I moved here alone.
All of them, thank God

Over half
All but 1, 23 in Illinois, 8 in Texas, 7 in California, and 2 in Florida
For as large as my family is, surprisingly few. I have an aunt and uncle with their kids down in Mississippi, and my youngest sister lives in Ohio.
I have another cousin who also lives in Ohio, but that’s not really noteworthy because she lives about half a mile from the state line, about five miles away north from me where I live 1000 feet from the state line on the Pennsylvania side.
Everyone else is in Pennsylvania, and in the same two counties.
My kids, my husband, and my mother (who recently moved here) live in my state. My brother, his wife and his child live in another state. All of my cousins, aunts and uncles etc. are scattered across the country. I cannot count them for you. I have 24 cousins most of them a generation older than I and I have long since lost count of their progeny.
We moved from the Pacific Northwest when I was a teen, so most of my family is in California, Oregon, and Washington.
I do have second cousins in the same state as me, but they’re 3 hours south (I’m in Texas!).
Immediate family? None.
My grandpa was from Philadelphia so his entire family is still there. He moved to Illinois when he was in the Air Force and met my grandma and stayed here. I lived out of state for a while but moved back. Other than that, no one.
All of them
not nearly enough
I have 3 family members that live in this state, 2 are my children. Everyone else lives in other states or countries.
All but one.
The vast majority of them.
Neither of my children. One lives 30 minutes away and the other 2.5 hours away. My parents and my brother live in another state. One of my sisters lives 30 minutes away. My other sister lived in another state but has since passed away.
All of them.
All of them.
I’m one of three sisters. We live in three different countries. I’m the only one that still lives in the US. (The others live in Canada and the UK.)
Our parents have lived in the same city for more than fifty years, so that’s where we all grew up. Our parents have even lived in the same house for about 35 years.
All of my extended family, except 3 of us, live in other states.
On my dad’s side of the family, out of 7 1st cousins (and their families) none live in the same state at all relative to anyone else. Except my brother and I.
All of them except for my wife and kids. My wife’s family is not too far, but still another state.
All of them, the closest one is over 2,000 miles away
All of them, some in other countries
All of them. My parents snowbird down here though
Immediate family – none. There are only 4 of us, and we all live in the same state. I have cousins/distant family all over, but we aren’t close.
All of them.
I have a sister who moved across the country to California. Makes me sad. I was super close with her and now we don’t talk as much because of work schedules and the time difference.
All of them
Other than my spouse and kids all of them. I am not originally from here. I have family in five states
