Like i followed someone ik and that person accepted my request very fast but didn't even follow me back altho we have talked sometimes in school. Like i can't take it so I have decided to unfollow. But what if later I'm asked about it by that person ki why I did that? What would I say??

just tell them straight up. “oh, i don’t usually only follow people, i prefer to keep following those who follow me back.” is it going to be hard to say or muster up the courage to do? yes. but is it going to show that you don’t waste time on what isn’t important to you? absolutely.
I have several people on my Instagram that follow me but I have no interest in following them back so I don’t, I doubt they question it
If they really do ask you about it, just say sorry but I only follow people who return the favor, if they feel slighted or offended then that’s on them. After all, they were the ones who didn’t want to follow you back in the first place so who are they to be offended by the fact that you decided to unfollow them?
