Me and my boyfriend have been dating on and off for about 2 and a half years. He’s never mentioned he doesn’t like my dogs in bed or on the couch. He brought up yesterday if we live together dogs won’t be allowed on the furniture or in the bed because dogs leave hair everywhere. Understandable, so i tried compromising saying i already vacuum everyday to help with the hair and i can change the sheets more often so there’s not hair everywhere. this didn’t work for him and he said he still doesn’t want them on any furniture at all even if i clean. I’ve grown up with dogs sleeping with me. i like my dogs sleeping with me and this is their home. I keep a sheet on my couch so they are not directly on my couch, and i vacuum literally everyday because i also don’t like dog hair everywhere. What other ways can we compromise ? he’s set on no dogs on furniture AT ALL. We’ve had some other issues and i’m contemplating to just end it.
Edit: the other reason i’ve been contemplating ending it is because he has really bad hygiene. doesnt brush his teeth or shower. he showered once in 3 days at my house even tho he has soap and a toothbrush and everything he typically uses. He’s also bodyshamed me saying “i have a nice body but if i toned up i would be hotter” hes 300 pounds and im 160. we are the same height.
